The study presented in this article seeks to contribute to the analysis of the political and socioeconomic dimensions of the period in the History of Brazil between 2016 and 2022, characterized by the implementation of economic policies guided by a neoliberal agenda that privileged demands of large capital. We sought to present the pseudo-moralizing and neoliberal discourse of political agents representing the interests of Brazilian socioeconomic elites who managed to be elected to positions in the Federal Legislative Branch, as well as their legal institutionalization. We investigated the matrices of these neoliberal policies outlined in the final years of the 20th century (which became known as the “Economic Tripod”) and how they were used to favor financial capital (in this article, exemplified by Bradesco - Banco Brasileiro de Descontos).
