Abstract

COVID-19 has tested the capacity of international organizations to respond to the panorama facing the migratory phenomenon. It starts from four general cases in the international scenario. The first case studies the rejection of migrants in other countries and in their places of origin. The second case deals with the indolence of the diplomatic headquarters, in front of their compatriots. The third studies the situation in refugee camps and detention centers. The fourth and last analyzes the labor market and the participation of immigrants in receiving economies. The research method used in this study, which correlates the immigration-pandemic variables, will be the inductive method to account for this phenomenological study. Finally, it is verified that the pandemic came to increase and highlight the problems of the migratory phenomenon, as well as the normalization and undervaluation of the lives of these human beings.
