New Editor of JGS starts her role
We are very pleased to announce that Dr Macias has agreed to lead the Journal of Gypsy Studies. Her appointment is initially for five years and renewable after that. Dr Macías' term at the helm is marked by a call for papers for a special issue on Inequalities and Social Exclusion of Gypsy Minorities. Dr Almudena Macias is based at the University of Malaga, Spain. Previously she was at Public University of Navarre, Spain. Her doctoral thesis dealt with the International migration of the Roma population from Romania to Spain. She has been visiting researcher in the School of Politics and Sociology at the University of London Birkbeck College, UK, and in the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work at Babes-Bolyai University, Romania. Her research interests include Roma ethnic minority and social exclusion and human mobility.
